Hello Folks! J
I love that I can call you folks. Whenever I try to call my
class that they reply, “what do you mean by folks?”
I then have to revert back to boys and girls. The Aussies on the other
hand, share many of our preferred phrases! I made one happy today when I said I
was “super stoked” about something… They also say “eh?” a lot. Isn’t that great? A taste of home!
I dunno, Megs! I don't know if Wally the whale could stand up against these blokes when it comes to Customer Appreciation Day!! Not to mention there was also free face-painting and hot chocolate... Tanisha wouldn't let us get the face paint because, "we were going to central London and would look funny." pfff! When has that ever stopped me? :)
After much contemplation, Tanisha and I decided it would be a smarter decision to stay inside of
Raspberry Meringue!
Did My heart Love Till Now?!?
The Globe Theatre
The museums themselves are enormous. One could easily spend
weeks on end exploring the different exhibits. We went to the Natural History
Museum the first day, where most of our time was divided into three sections;
the earth (volcanoes and earthquakes), insects, and dinosaurs.
Isn't that crazy? We will never know whether dinosaurs were warm or cold blooded!
On the second day we checked out the British Museum …
I couldn’t get over how many artifacts there were to each ‘Countries’ exhibit. Each
would hold artifacts of the clothing and fashion, types of weaponry, different
utensils used for food, house hold ornaments, gods, furniture, statues, casts
of important royal figures, and the list goes on. Each exhibit paid such close
attention to the historical details that you left feeling as if you had just
come out of that Country. Haha, so now that I have seen Egypt and Greece …
hello Italy ?
THE original Rosetta Rock!
OH Mummy!!
It was nice to have this week as a bit of a breather… The
next six weeks will be intense and invigorating, tiring and treacherous? (haha,
trying to think of a ‘T’ word…) but certainly not boring!!!
And now, to finish off this blog I would like to leave you
with the wise words of Edmond
from the Count of Monte Cristo- -
"Life is a storm, my young friend. You will bask in the sunlight one moment, be shattered on the rocks the next. What makes you a man is what you do when that storm comes. You must look into that storm and shout as you did in Rome. Do your worst, for I will do mine!"

Look out London Kids,

Chels,

Hey, you are further spiking my interest in working abroad. I am interested in Spain. You should ask around about teaching in Spain, see what you can find out! Google has thus far found me sketchy teach english websites.
